Frank Thomas has officially retired from baseball. What are your thoughts on your career?
Thank you to the legend of a neighborhood South Side, # 35, the Big Hurt, Frank Thomas.
Frank was an early career in suspense, I do not think anyone would oppose this. The question is, his career is long enough to qualify for the Hall of Fame. This is only my opinion but I would say no. Don Mattingly is a surprising first-base glove set a record for gold. He won an MVP and a stick and was one of the most dominant players in the 80s. Unfortunately, back injuries cut short his career and I kept out of the room. Based on that alone, I would say that Frank had several years of great, but I think that was enough. Besides, I always felt Hall of Fame should be one of these things without doubt. What I mean when one thinks of a player, you should immediately think of Hall of Fame, and if not, then there should be a Hall of Fame. For example, Babe Ruth - HOF, Ty Cobb - HOF, Mickey Mantle - hof, Willie Mays - HOF, no doubt with these guys. When you start entering a gray area is where I have a hard time allowing entry. Kirby Puckett is an excellent example of that. Once again, a great player in his time, but if I had to choose between him and the other HOF outfielder, Puckett never choose?
